Hyderabad: N S Ramjee a regular animal adopter at the Zoo since 2010 donated a pair of swans to the Nehru Zoological Park (NZP) as a tribute to his parents on Wednesday. His father K. A. Narayanaswamy was an IPS officer. With the addition of the swans, the zoo now boasts of 199 species and more than 2,000 individual animals.
The programme was attended by Dr. Sunil S. Hiremath, Director, Zoo Parks, J Vasantha, IFS, Curator, Nehru Zoological Park, Dr. Md. Abdul Hakeem, Deputy Director (Veterinary), and M. Barnoba, Deputy Curator, Nehru Zoological Park.
Elusing Meru, IFS, Principal Chief Conservator of Forests (Wildlife) & Chief Wildlife Warden, Telangana, released a pair of White Swans into the public display enclosure at the Nehru Zoological Park, Hyderabad.
