Apologise or face legal action, KTR denies links

K.T. Rama Rao, Working President of the Bharat Rashtra Samithi, has served a legal notice on Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy, demanding an unconditional public apology within 48 hours over what he termed false, defamatory and politically motivated allegations linking him to Globarena Technologies.

Addressing the media in Hyderabad, KTR said the Chief Minister had publicly alleged that Globarena Technologies was his benami company without producing any evidence. He categorically denied having any ownership, financial, proprietary or business association with the company and challenged the Chief Minister to substantiate the allegations with credible proof within the stipulated time.

KTR warned that if the Chief Minister failed to prove the allegations or apologise, he would initiate appropriate civil, criminal and defamation proceedings for causing irreparable damage to his reputation. He described the accusations as baseless and irresponsible, particularly coming from a person holding the office of the Chief Minister. Questioning the government's stand, KTR asked why the Congress government had entered into agreements with Globarena Technologies if it genuinely believed the company belonged to him. He said the Chief Minister should answer this contradiction before making such serious accusations.

KTR further alleged that the Chief Minister was attempting to divert public attention from the controversy surrounding alleged irregularities in the NEET examination. He claimed that instead of questioning the Union Government and demanding accountability from the Union Education Minister, the Chief Minister was targeting political opponents while avoiding criticism of Prime Minister Narendra Modi.

Accusing the Congress and the BJP of maintaining a covert political understanding, KTR alleged that the Chief Minister was reluctant to confront the Centre due to political compulsions and pending issues involving central agencies.

Responding to Congress leaders' calls for an investigation, KTR said he was prepared to face any inquiry by the CID, CBI, SIT or any other agency. He also challenged the government to investigate allegations relating to the Chief Minister's family, the Srujan Reddy issue, Singareni and AMRUT contracts.

KTR also proposed a public live lie detector test involving both himself and the Chief Minister, asserting that he had no connection with Globarena Technologies. He reiterated his demand for an unconditional apology within 48 hours, failing which he would pursue legal remedies, including a defamation suit.
