Andhra Pradesh Technology Services (APTS) is undergoing a major transformation to boost IT development and cyber security infrastructure across the state, said APTS Chairman Mannava Mohana Krishna during a press briefing in Vijayawada.
Highlighting the government’s commitment to technological advancement, Mohana Krishna announced the expansion of APTS operations to all 26 districts of Andhra Pradesh. “We are opening APTS offices at the district level to effectively implement the state government’s IT initiatives,” he said.
He noted that since the formation of the new coalition government, APTS has been efficiently managing key digital services including hardware and software procurement, Aadhaar-based services, issuance of documents with digital signatures, and cyber security operations.
Mohana Krishna revealed that APTS is now registered under the Computer Emergency Response Team (CERT) and is poised to conduct critical cyber security audits. “We have the technical expertise to identify vulnerabilities and provide solutions. In the coming days, APTS will extend its cyber security auditing services beyond government departments to the private sector,” he said.
The agency plans to target high-risk sectors such as banking, finance, insurance, healthcare, and telecom for private cyber security audits. “We are also preparing to offer these services in neighboring states,” he added, expressing confidence that cyber security audits would become a significant source of revenue.
From July 2024 to April 2025, APTS facilitated over 55,000 tenders worth Rs.41,000 crore through its procurement platform, resulting in transactions exceeding Rs.110 crore.
