In a compelling address at the Special Plenary Session of the Confederation of Indian Industry (CII) Annual Business Summit in Delhi, Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu outlined an ambitious roadmap to transform Andhra Pradesh into a $2.4 trillion economy by 2047. Calling on industry leaders to partner in the state’s “Swarna Andhra Vision 2047,” Naidu laid out a multifaceted growth strategy built on innovation, investment, infrastructure, and inclusion.
A key highlight was the announcement that India’s first Quantum Computing Centre will be operational in Amaravati by January 2026, developed in collaboration with tech giants like TCS, IBM, and L&T. This facility will drive breakthroughs in healthcare, cryptography, energy, and manufacturing by linking startups, academia, and industry.
Under the Integrated Clean Energy (ICE) Policy 2024, Andhra Pradesh is aiming to attract Rs.10 lakh crore in renewable energy investments and develop 160 GW of green capacity by 2029. Notable projects include NTPC’s green hydrogen hub in Visakhapatnam and AM Green’s ammonia plant in Kakinada.
A new Hi-Tech Industrial Corridor is being developed between Lepakshi and Orvakal, focused on defence, drones, automobiles, and satellites. The corridor is expected to draw Rs.5 lakh crore in investments and generate 4.5 lakh jobs within a year. Naidu proposed a Global Leadership Centre in Amaravati to groom future entrepreneurs and political leaders. Phase I of Amaravati's construction—including an international airport—will be completed in three years, aiming to turn the greenfield capital into a global hub.
Drawing on his legacy of initiating India’s first PPP models in infrastructure, Naidu introduced the P4 model, emphasizing that “people are capital, not liabilities.” He urged India’s wealthiest to mentor the underprivileged and foster responsible capitalism. With over 5 lakh people working remotely in Andhra, the CM emphasized the state’s flexibility in employment and commitment to skill development, including collaboration with the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation for AI-based healthcare in Kuppam.
Naidu stressed Andhra’s agricultural strength—35% of the GSDP is agro-based—and detailed initiatives such as aqua zones, global agri brands, and 175 industrial parks in each constituency. He reiterated support for river-linking projects to manage droughts and floods. Major projects already underway include the ArcelorMittal Steel Plant (Rs.1.43 lakh crore), BPCL refinery with Saudi Aramco, TCS facility in Vizag (Rs.1,370 crore, 12,000 jobs), and LG’s plant in Sri City (Rs.5,000 crore, 10,000 jobs). Naidu assured investors of “record time” approvals and proactive support.
