Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister Nara Chandrababu Naidu reaffirmed his commitment to his constituency, Kuppam, despite serving as the state’s chief executive. “Even though I am the Chief Minister for the state, I am still the MLA of Kuppam,” he remarked while expressing gratitude to the people of Kuppam, who have elected him eight times consecutively.

Speaking passionately about his constituency, he unveiled an ambitious roadmap ’Swarna Kuppam Vision-2029’, aimed at transforming Kuppam into a model constituency and tourism hub.

The Chief Minister launched the vision document at Dravidian University on Monday, emphasizing his dedication to bringing unparalleled development to the region. Terming the previous governance as “destructive governance”, he claimed it obstructed Kuppam’s progress and targeted TDP workers unfairly.

“The days of hindrances are over; development in Kuppam is now unstoppable,” he proclaimed, outlining his comprehensive strategy to advance the constituency across various sectors.

Chandrababu Naidu highlighted the major pillars of Swarna Kuppam Vision-2029, including a detailed PowerPoint presentation on the progress achieved and plans for the next five years. Key focus is laid on economic upliftment by turning every family into a self-sustaining economic unit.

With over 65,000 families in Kuppam, the Chief Minister plans to train and transform members of each household into entrepreneurs. Focusing on industrial growth, Naidu plans on establishing large-scale industriesto generate 15,000 jobs, alongside skill training centers to equip the youth for modern employment opportunities.

In regard to Infrastructure development, constructing new roads, achieving 100% solarization, completing the cargo airport, and ensuring safe drinking water through the Jal Jeevan Mission are in place. Also, a new super-specialty hospital is in the works, along with investments in enhancing educational institutions, including Dravidian University.

Naidu also announced the appointment of an IAS officer as a special officer for the newly formed Kuppam Area Development Authority, ensuring the execution of these ambitious plans.

The Chief Minister didn’t shy away from criticizing the previous administration, accusing them of destabilizing state institutions, crippling the economy, and stifling free speech. “For the past five years, there was destructive governance.

They didn’t have the vision or intention to do good for the people,” he said. He credited the voters for bringing the TDP back to power and vowed to restore Andhra Pradesh to the path of progress.

Acknowledging the aspirations of Kuppam’s youth, the Chief Minister emphasized his commitment to job creation and skill development. “Every step I take is aimed at providing employment opportunities for our young people. Kuppam will emerge as a hub for innovation and industry,” he said.

He drew parallels with global examples, citing South Korea’s 0.5% population growth rate as a concern for Andhra Pradesh’s development, which currently has a growth rate of 1.5%. Stressing the importance of addressing demographic trends, he urged citizens to reflect on their role in shaping the state’s future.

During the event at Dravidian University, the Chief Minister fielded questions from students, providing in-depth explanations of the Swarna Kuppam Vision-2029. He reiterated his government’s commitment to modernizing governance by introducing WhatsApp Governance, which will offer 150 public services. Naidu assured that Kuppam’s transformation would be a beacon of hope and progress for the entire state.
