"Funds for R&R and land acquisition will be released immediately. The gap between the Narlapur and Edula reservoirs will be filled with necessary funding. When Rs. 70 crore was needed for the Uddandapur R&R package, the  government released the funds without hesitation. In the future too, the government is ready to release any amount required."  Bhatti Vikramarka Deputy Chief Minister, Telangana

Deputy Chief Minister Bhatti Vikramarka has reiterated that the State government will complete the Palamuru-Rangareddy Lift Irrigation  (PRLI) scheme in a stipulated period and turn barren lands into fertile in the backward Palamuru district.

Addressing a public meeting in Devarakadra constituency of the erstwhile Mahabubnagar district after laying foundation stones for 12 new power substations on Friday, the Deputy Chief Minister said there is no shortage of funds for the execution of the PRLI scheme and the government will release the required funds without delay.

The Deputy Chief Minister criticised the previous BRS rulers, stating they looted the state like bandits and pretended to be messiahs. Even their own family members are now exposing their true intentions. The real democracy is being upheld now, with funds being spent for the public under the leadership of Chief Minister Revanth Reddy and his entire cabinet, making Telangana a globally competitive state, he said.

“You don’t need to be an MLA to do business or get contracts. You need to elect MLAs who will raise the people’s voice in the Assembly and protect democratic values. I congratulate the people of Mahabubnagar for electing such representatives," Bhatti Vikramarka said. He stated that the Congress government is a people’s government and it is working according to the hopes and aspirations of the people.

Referring to the Krishna River, Bhatti Vikramarka said the people of Palamuru dreamed of utilising its waters for their lands, which is why they demanded a separate state. But in ten years, the previous rulers couldn’t provide irrigation even to a single acre. He mocked the last-minute gimmick of switching on and off the pump at Narlapur during elections, calling it an illusion.
