Mass Maharaja Ravi Teja’s milestone 75th film, Mass Jathara, is set for release on October 31 with special evening previews. Produced by Suryadevara Naga Vamsi and Sai Soujanya under Sithara Entertainments and Fortune Four Cinemas, and presented by Srikara Studios, the film marks the directorial debut of writer-turned-filmmaker Bhanu Bhogavarapu. It stars Ravi Teja, Sreeleela, and Naveen Chandra, with music by Bheems Ceciroleo.
Speaking to the media, Bhanu said the film, set against a Railway Police backdrop, blends strong mass elements with a new concept. “The crime setting feels fresh, and Ravi Teja garu himself suggested the title Mass Jathara. That made me enhance the mass appeal even more,” he shared. Though fictional, Bhanu revealed he researched real Railway Police cases for authenticity.
On directing Ravi Teja’s 75th film, he said, “We realized it later. He told me to just focus on making a good movie.” Naveen Chandra plays the antagonist Shivudu, while Sreeleela essays Tulasi, “a strong, fresh character perfectly suited for her,” Bhanu said, comparing her chemistry with Ravi Teja to the iconic Chiranjeevi–Vijayashanti duo in Gang Leader.
Bhanu, known for his comedy writing, said, “Mass Jathara mixes humor and mass perfectly. I wrote it keeping Ravi Teja in mind.” He clarified that while Ravi Teja dons a police uniform again, the Railway Police angle keeps it distinct from Vikramarkudu.
Bheems’ music, especially “Tu Mera Lover,” and large-scale sets worth over ₹6 crore, add grandeur. “Thanks to Naga Vamsi garu’s support, I could execute my vision fully,” Bhanu said. Promising a fresh yet nostalgic experience, he added, “It’s a full-on mass entertainer with surprises for everyone.”
