Telangana Deputy Chief Minister Mallu Bhatti Vikramarka said the state's "Telangana Rising–2047" vision aims for a $3 trillion economy, positioning the young state to compete on a global scale.
Speaking at the inauguration of the Motilal Oswal Executive Centre at the Indian School of Business (ISB) in Gachibowli on Friday, he urged ISB students to actively contribute to the state’s development. He emphasized that education is the cornerstone of progress, highlighting the government’s unprecedented investments in the sector.
The state is launching Young India Integrated Residential Schools, each on 25 acres with an investment of ₹200 crore. A total of 104 schools have already been initiated to provide world-class, free education.
Bhatti Vikramarka also detailed the development of Skill University, where the curriculum is being designed in collaboration with industry leaders to ensure graduates are job-ready. He announced a Rs. 500 crore investment in a women’s university being built in memory of Telangana freedom fighter Chakali Ailamma.
Anand Mahindra has been appointed Chairman of Skill University. The Deputy CM invited ISB administrators to visit the new institutions to offer guidance, noting their input could shape the future of education in the state.
He called ISB students fortunate to study in state-of-the-art classrooms, each costing Rs. 1.5–2 crore to build. Recalling his own humble beginnings in a single-teacher, Telugu-medium school, he said inaugurating the Executive Centre on Teacher’s Day was personally meaningful.
Thanking the Motilal Oswal Foundation, he said the centre represents more than philanthropy—it is an act of faith in knowledge, leadership, and the future. ISB Dean Madan Pillutla, Prabhat Sinha, and others also attended the event.
