Deputy Chief Minister Mallu Bhatti Vikramarka has urged the Union government to provide financial assistance for two industrial parks in Madhira constituency.

Deputy Chief Minister Bhatti Vikramarka, along with Industries Minister Sridhar Babu, Social Welfare Minister Adluri Laxman and MP Mallu Ravi, met Union MSME Minister Jitan Ram Manjhi in New Delhi on Wednesday and  submitted a formal request in this regard.

On behalf of the state government, proposals have been submitted to set up MSME parks in Yendapally (Madhira mandal) and Remidicherla (Errupalem mandal) in Khammam district. The Deputy Chief Minister informed the Union Minister that plans have been drawn up to develop these parks across 85 acres and 60 acres respectively.

He explained that the locations are strategically significant due to their proximity to National Highway 65 (Hyderabad–Vijayawada corridor) and have excellent connectivity to nearby towns, railway networks, and ports. The development of these parks would bring industrial opportunities to local youth, especially from SC communities. These parks are being designed to support various manufacturing sectors and are expected to generate at least 5,000 direct and 15,000 indirect employment opportunities, Bhatti said.

The Telangana government has sought prior approval from the Centre to submit project proposals under the MSME-CDP (Cluster Development Programme) for financial assistance to develop these parks.

He further stated that the Telangana government is taking steps for the development of the MSME (Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises) sector and it has decided to set up two new MSME parks to promote small and medium industries in the state.

The MSME sector is becoming a key driver for inclusive economic growth. A dedicated MSME park in every Assembly constituency, this is the state government’s larger vision, Bhatti said.

During the meeting, the Ministers informed the Union Minister that Telangana is expecting central financial support under the MSME-CDP scheme.

The Telangana government has drafted a prestigious plan to further strengthen the MSME sector. The aim is to establish one MSME park in each of the 119 Assembly constituencies in the state. These parks will consist of small-scale flatted factory complexes and provide the necessary infrastructure to support small industrial units, creating a conducive industrial environment, Bhatti Vikramarka said.

He further stated that the MSME parks will include hostels, kitchens, toilets, testing centers, and other common facilities. Business development, product innovation, and market strategy services will also be made available. Support will be extended to women-led enterprises through the Streenidhi scheme, providing loan assistance to empower such units and expand livelihood opportunities for women, Bhatti Vikramarka said.

Currently, under the MSME-CDP scheme, the Telangana government is already implementing 25 projects with the support of the Union MSME Ministry. These include industrial parks, flatted factory complexes, and Common Facility Centres (CFCs), all of which are playing a key role in strengthening the MSME ecosystem in the state.

Through these progressive initiatives, the Deputy Chief Minister and Industries Minister expressed confidence that Telangana will emerge as a key contributor toward India’s vision of achieving a $30 trillion economy.
