Blood Donor Life Saver Foundation extends financial support

The Blood Donor Life Saver Foundation extended critical financial assistance for an infant’s heart surgery at KIMS Hospital on Friday.

Born on July 25, 2025, at Life Spring Hospital, a baby girl was diagnosed with a life-threatening congenital heart defect. Doctors at KIMS Hospital, where she was shifted the next day, discovered blocked blood vessels on the left side of her heart. This condition caused oxygen-rich and oxygen-poor blood to mix, requiring an urgent open-heart surgery costing an estimated Rs 5–6 lakhs.

The infant’s father, Chintakindi Srinivas, a driver by profession, managed to raise Rs 2 lakhs by selling family gold. However, the family was unable to cover the remaining amount and turned to Blood Donor Life Saver Foundation for help.

Responding swiftly, the foundation mobilized donations and handed over Rs 85,300 to the family on Friday at KIMS Hospital. Sunil Dhoota, President of the foundation, stated, ‘Thanks to our generous members, we could contribute towards this baby's surgery. We remain committed to supporting such life-saving causes.’

Foundation members Sukindar, Uma Devi, and Srinivas were present during the donation handover.
