Telangana Pradesh Congress Committee (TPCC) President Mahesh Kumar Goud on Thursday accused the BRS and BJP of running a deliberate misinformation campaign and making false allegations against the Congress leadership for political mileage.
Addressing a meeting of the TPCC Vichar Vibhag (Intellectual Cell) at Gandhi Bhavan, Mahesh Kumar Goud came down heavily on the opposition parties, stating that they were continuously spreading falsehoods to target the Congress.
Highlighting the ideological legacy of the party, the TPCC chief emphasised the Vichar Vibhag's pivotal role in strengthening the Congress's foundation since the era of Pandit Jawaharlal Nehru. He noted that the Intellectual Cell has historically been at the forefront of promoting democratic values, constitutional principles, and progressive thinking within both the party and the broader society.
Reiterating the party's core philosophy, Mahesh Kumar Goud said the Congress remains fiercely committed to inclusive governance. He assured that the party will continue to champion the welfare and development of all citizens irrespective of caste, creed, religion, or region and will always stand with farmers, students, workers, traders, and the underprivileged sections of society.
The meeting was attended by Capt. Praveen Davar, Chairman, AICC Vichar Vibhag (Intellectual Wing), Pushpa Lakshmana Swamy, Vice Chairperson, AICC Vichar Vibhag, and A. Shyam Mohan, Chairman, TPCC Vichar Vibhag (Intellectual Cell) and others.
