Senior BJP leader and Member of Parliament K. Laxman has firmly dismissed speculation about any possible alliance between the Bharatiya Janata Party and the Bharat Rashtra Samithi in the upcoming Telangana Assembly elections, making it clear that there is “no question” of such a partnership.

Speaking to media, Dr. Laxman asserted that the BJP will contest the elections independently and positioned the party as a credible alternative in Telangana. He described reports of a BJP BRS alliance as baseless and misleading, putting an end to ongoing speculation in political circles.

Criticizing the BRS leadership, Dr. Laxman alleged that the party has lost relevance in the state’s political landscape. He likened the BRS to a “dead snake,” suggesting that it no longer holds political significance in Telangana. He also targeted BRS chief K. Chandrashekar Rao, accusing him of neglecting public issues and failing in his responsibilities, including remaining absent from Assembly proceedings.

Referring to recent political remarks, Dr. Laxman’s comments come in the backdrop of Telangana Chief Minister Revanth Reddy comparing the BRS to a “dead body,” indicating that its political relevance has diminished over time. Echoing similar sentiments, the BJP leader reinforced the view that the BRS has no future in Telangana politics.
