Former minister and BRS MLA Talasani Srinivas Yadav has expressed that they will not accept any decision to fragment Secunderabad under the guise of delimitation. Speaking at a gathering organised by the Lashkar Zilla Sadana Samithi in Secunderabad on Sunday, the BRS MLA emphasised the need to advocate for the establishment of the Greater Secunderabad Municipal Corporation, stating that he might even resort to a hunger strike if necessary.
Srinivas Yadav called for the creation of a Greater Secunderabad Municipal Corporation and a separate district, questioning the progress achieved during the last two years under Congress leadership. He lamented that while Hyderabad flourished as a global city during the tenure of former Chief Minister K Chandrashekhar Rao, its condition has deteriorated under the Congress administration.
He expressed outrage over the lack of consideration for public and representative input regarding the proposed increase in divisions from 150 to 300 as a part of the delimitation process. Yadav cautioned against undermining the sentiments of the state's residents. He also announced plans for a peace march from Secunderabad Railway Station on January 17.
Moreover, the BRS MLA indicated that they would outline their next steps following the Sankranthi festival.
