CARE Hospitals, Banjara Hills, in collaboration with the Society for Emergency Medicine India (SEMI), organized the ‘Basics to Advances in Airway & Breathing Workshop.’
This hands-on training program was designed to enhance the practical skills of healthcare professionals in airway management and respiratory support during life-threatening situations.
Targeted at emergency physicians, intensivists, anesthetists, and medical residents, the workshop delivered comprehensive training through expert-led sessions, simulation-based learning, and live demonstrations.
Topics included airway assessment, use of basic and advanced airway devices, bag-mask ventilation, endotracheal intubation, oxygen therapy, and strategies for managing difficult airways. Accredited with 2 Credit Hours by the Telangana State Medical Council, the program aimed to build clinical confidence and decision-making precision.
Dr. Kiran Kumar Varma K, Course Director, emphasized the importance of timely intervention in saving lives, stating that the workshop bridges the gap between theory and real-world application. Vishal Maheshwari, Group CFO, highlighted the need for structured, skill-based programs in emergency care. Biju Nair, Zonal COO, added that such initiatives help strengthen not only individual skills but also the broader healthcare system.
