Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu on Thursday launched the ‘Mee Bhoomi-Mee Hakku’ programme in Vemuru of Bapatla district, reaffirming his government’s commitment to providing permanent solutions to land-related issues. At the event, he distributed newly designed pattadar passbooks to beneficiaries and described land ownership as not just an asset but a foundation for dignity, livelihood, and security.
Addressing a large gathering, the Chief Minister said the initiative aims to restore trust in land records and eliminate disputes that, he alleged, escalated during the previous government’s tenure. He accused the earlier administration of manipulating land records and creating widespread confusion in villages. “Our goal is to guarantee security for people’s assets and bring transparency into the system,” he said.
Naidu announced that the government aims to issue over 1.12 crore secure pattadar passbooks across the state by March 2027. He highlighted that the new passbooks are embedded with advanced security features, including blockchain technology, QR codes, and digital locks, similar to those used in currency printing. These measures, he said, would make tampering virtually impossible. He also emphasised that ownership verification is being conducted through a three-stage e-KYC process, ensuring zero scope for corruption.
The Chief Minister used the platform to launch a sharp attack on the previous YSRCP government, alleging that the state had suffered severe administrative and economic setbacks over the past five years. He claimed industries had left the state, governance systems had weakened, and public safety had deteriorated. He also accused his political opponents of engaging in vendetta politics and misleading the public.
Reiterating his stand on Amaravati, Naidu asserted that the capital city’s development would continue without interruption. “No force can stop Amaravati’s progress,” he said, recalling the contribution of thousands of farmers who pooled land for the project. He described Amaravati as a future economic engine comparable to Hyderabad and promised to complete it as a world-class capital.
During the programme, Naidu also reviewed the performance of local officials, praising departments that performed well while openly questioning lapses in sectors such as ration distribution, roads, and sand supply. He warned that negligence in public service delivery would not be tolerated.
Announcing a series of development initiatives for the Vemuru constituency, the Chief Minister sanctioned funds for bridges, roads, flood protection works, and a new fire station. He also proposed setting up an MSME park and emphasised his vision to transform Andhra Pradesh into the country’s leading state by 2047 through large-scale investments and job creation.
