Collector inspects bamboo craft workshop

The District Collector K Haritha visited on Tuesday the bamboo craft workshop established at Saleguda in Asifabad Mandal and reviewed the activities there. During the visit, the Collector assured that electricity supply would be provided to the workshop at the earliest to improve working conditions and create better livelihood opportunities for the artisans. She also announced that steps would be taken to encourage bamboo cultivation on government and forest lands across the district.

Later, the Collector made a surprise inspection of the Mandal Parishad Upper Primary School at Bendara village in Wankidi Mandal. She inspected the midday meal kitchen, toilets, classrooms and observed the ongoing annual examinations being conducted by the students. The Collector instructed the teachers to ensure quality teaching along with tasty and nutritious midday meals for students studying in government schools.

Subsequently, the Collector inspected the garden within the Integrated Collectorate complex. She directed officials to plant more shade-giving trees and flowering plants to create a pleasant environment for visitors.
