Labour and Employment Minister Dr. G. Vivek Venkatswamy stated on Friday that Chennur is set to become a model municipality in the state very soon. He made it clear that the Congress government is actively implementing developmental and welfare programs across the state. He said the government is giving equal emphasis to both rural and urban development, ensuring that no sector is neglected. He held a morning walk in Chennur town and interacted with local residents, reviewing the progress of various development works underway in the area.

He noted that development projects worth Rs 50 crore are currently in progress in Chennur and will be completed soon. Providing essential services such as drinking water, sanitation, and other basic amenities remains a top priority for the government, he said. As part of the process of finalizing candidates for the upcoming local body elections, Dr. Vivek has been touring different parts of the Mancherial district.

At the Chennur camp office, he interacted with party cadres and urged them to work in close coordination to ensure the victory of Congress-supported candidates. He emphasized that the greater the number of candidates who win with the party’s support, the more beneficial it will be for the people. He called on party workers to stay united and strive collectively to achieve the desired results.
