Actor Sai Durgha Tej emphasized the urgent need for open communication between parents and children and said children should be given freedom to share everything with their parents openly.

Abhayam Masoom Summit 2025 conducted in Hyderabad, an event, organized by Young Indians (Yi) and the Confederation of Indian Industry (CII), focused on protecting children from abuse both online and offline.

Speaking passionately, Sai Durgha Tej highlighted how today’s digital world exposes children to harmful content, especially on social media. ‘People hide behind dark comedy to make disgusting comments about kids. That’s not freedom of speech, it's cruelty,’ he said.

He urged parents to spend more quality time with their children and build trust. Recalling his own childhood, he shared, ‘When I was in second grade, I told my mom about my first love. She let me speak freely. That’s how all parent-child relationships should be.’

He stressed the need to educate children about topics like good touch and bad touch both at home and in schools. Sai also suggested linking children’s social media to their parents' numbers or Aadhaar for accountability.

‘Children must grow in love, not fear. Let’s protect them and more importantly listen to them,’ he concluded.
