With the onset of the holy Karthika Masam and the growing influx of devotees to major temples across the state, Deputy Chief Minister Pawan Kalyan has directed district authorities in Kakinada to ensure foolproof safety and proper amenities for devotees visiting prominent pilgrimage sites.
Chairing a high-level review meeting on Monday with the District Collector, Superintendent of Police, and senior officials from various departments, Pawan Kalyan instructed them to make comprehensive arrangements for crowd management, sanitation, and security at major temples. “Officials must ensure that no devotee faces inconvenience. It is their responsibility to see that all arrangements run smoothly,” he emphasized.
The Deputy Chief Minister specifically reviewed preparations at Samarlakota Kumar Bhimeswara Swamy Temple, Pithapuram Sri Pada Sri Vallabha Temple, and Annavaram Sri Veera Venkata Satyanarayana Swamy Temple, three of the most visited Shaiva and Vaishnava shrines in the district during this auspicious month. Anticipating heavy pilgrim turnout, he urged that all arrangements be completed well in advance.
