Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu has directed officials to adopt a humane and citizen-centric approach while resolving grievances received through the Public Grievance Redressal System (PGRS). He emphasized that complaints should be viewed from the perspective of the affected citizens and not treated as mere files in the administrative system.
Reviewing the performance of various departments from the RTGS Centre at the State Secretariat on Monday, the Chief Minister said government employees and officials should develop soft skills and interact with citizens courteously and respectfully. He noted that such an approach would strengthen public trust in governance and improve the image of the administration.
Chandrababu stressed the need for continuous learning and innovation within the government machinery. Officials should adapt to changing times, improve their professional capabilities, and make effective use of technology to enhance governance. He stated that field visits by ministers and officials are essential to understand ground realities and take informed decisions that address public needs.
The Chief Minister observed that technological advancements have significantly improved administrative efficiency, making file clearances and service delivery faster than ever before. However, he cautioned that systems could become ineffective if innovation and proactive thinking are ignored. Addressing law and order concerns, Chandrababu said certain groups were attempting to politicize every issue and spread misinformation by giving incidents a caste or religious angle.
He urged officials to remain vigilant against fake propaganda and divisive narratives that could create social tensions and tarnish the reputation of government employees and institutions. He also highlighted the role of technology in solving old criminal cases, noting that several crimes committed in previous years were now being traced and prosecuted successfully. “No one who commits a crime can escape justice forever,” he remarked.
The Chief Minister further directed officials to ensure strict compliance with vehicle number plate regulations and focus on key priorities such as increasing green cover, protecting water resources, improving groundwater levels, preventing river pollution, and maintaining environmental sustainability. He also instructed officials to accelerate efforts to establish the proposed Quantum Park and Semiconductor Park and ensure the launch of the state’s Quantum Computer initiative by December.
