In a decisive push toward Andhra Pradesh’s long-term development vision, Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu on Monday virtually inaugurated Vision Action Plan Unit offices across all 26 districts and 175 constituencies in the state. These grassroots units mark a historic administrative milestone intended to accelerate the implementation of ‘Swarna Andhra 2047’—a state-level roadmap aligned with Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s ‘Viksit Bharat 2047’ mission.

Speaking from the state Secretariat via video conference with district collectors, MLAs, MPs, and officials, CM Naidu said, “For the first time, MLAs are being equipped with dedicated offices and support teams to coordinate long-term constituency planning. With these units, we’ve laid the foundation to realize the Swarna Andhra dream.”

Each constituency-level unit will be supported with Rs.10 lakh in annual funding and staffed by a nine-member team, including the MLA as chairperson, a nodal officer, academic experts, young professionals, and five GSWS staff members. Special Officers will serve as vice-chairpersons while other key local officials will serve as members, ensuring convergence across departments.

“This is not just a structural reform—it’s a strategic empowerment of people’s representatives,” Naidu said. “MLAs must seize this opportunity to actively engage citizens and build shared ownership of development goals.”

The CM emphasized that development must reach every district equally, with each Vision Action Plan office tasked with preparing a five-year roadmap. Key departments—including Planning, GAD, ITE&C, RTGS, and Finance—will work in coordination with the new units. “Our aim is to transform Andhra Pradesh into a ‘Healthy, Wealthy, and Happy’ state,” said Naidu.

In his address, Naidu detailed parallel infrastructure and service initiatives like MSME parks in every constituency, Tata-led hubs in Amaravati to foster entrepreneurship, Metro rail projects in Visakhapatnam and Vijayawada, port and fishing harbor expansion, completion of the Bhogapuram airport by 2026, and a commitment to complete the long-delayed Polavaram project by 2027.

The CM also pledged renewed attention to Amaravati’s development and lauded Union Minister Ram Mohan Naidu for pledging to adopt 10 families under the state’s flagship “P4 - Zero Poverty, Golden Families” initiative. The program targets the transformation of 15 lakh families by August 15, with MLAs and community leaders acting as "Margadarsis" (mentors).
