The Telangana Chief Minister Revanth Reddy launched a scathing attack on the BRS, branding it as “DRS – Dayyala Rajya Samithi (Devils’ Rajya Samithi)” during a massive public meeting held at Alair as part of the 'Prajapalana – Pragathibata' initiative. Recalling the "ruthless misrule" of the previous regime, CM Revanth accused the BRS of plundering the state for ten years, claiming they now have the audacity to question the current government. “Even after exposing the demons surrounding their own leader, he hasn’t dared to respond,” Revanth said.
Reiterating his government’s commitment to development and social welfare, Revanth Reddy stated that under the blessings of Sri Lakshmi Narasimha Swamy of Yadagirigutta, a people’s government was formed. He announced the creation of a Yadagirigutta Temple Development Board on the lines of Tirumala and promised to upgrade the temple-run medical college into a university.
Referring to his earlier promise made during the November 8 padayatra, the CM emphasized that the Musi River would be cleaned and rejuvenated, regardless of who opposes it. “If Modi can clean the Sabarmati and Ganga, why can’t we clean our Musi?” he asked, adding that people of Nalgonda deserve to live with dignity, not in a cesspool of neglect.
Highlighting Nalgonda’s historical legacy of resistance and awareness, Revanth praised its people for never tolerating injustice. He lambasted the previous BRS regime for failing to complete any irrigation projects in Nalgonda district, including SLBC, despite a decade in power.
On the governance front, he cited key achievements since taking office: free bus travel for women, Rs. 500 LPG cylinders, Rs. 21,000 crore in bank linkage loans for women self-help groups, and the establishment of Amma Aadarsha Patashalas managed by women. He underscored legislative measures like caste census enabling 42% reservations for BCs, and SC sub-categorization to fulfill long-pending demands.
