Bhupalpally District Collector Rahul Sharma, along with District SP Sirishetty Sankirth, conducted a detailed inspection of the arrangements for the upcoming Saraswati Antya Pushkaralu on Monday. The grand event is scheduled to be held from May 21 to June 1 at Kaleshwaram. During the inspection, the Collector examined the main ghat and instructed officials to expedite cleanliness drives and ensure the entire area is kept spotlessly clean. He also ordered the installation of adequate sign boards to provide necessary information to pilgrims.

The Collector later inspected the helipad and instructed officials to erect barricades around it, sprinkle water regularly and keep the temporary road laid from the main ghat to Saraswati Ghat wet by continuous water sprinkling. He also asked them to complete painting work and road repairs at the helipad on priority. At Saraswati Ghat, the Collector reviewed facilities such as changing rooms and shower taps.

After assessing the water levels in the Godavari river, he emphasized strong safety measures and directed officials to install barricades every 50 metres to prevent devotees from entering the river directly. He also instructed the deployment of lifeguards. He further ordered that the designs on the ghat steps be colored and all amenities at Saraswati Ghat be completed quickly. The Collector also inspected the areas designated for stalls and the Tent City.
