“Community Contact” event held

On the instructions of District Superintendent of Police Dr.Shabarish, a “Community Contact” program was conducted on Monday by the staff of Gudur Police Station led by Gudur Circle Inspector Vinay Kumar at Lakshmipuram village which falls under the jurisdiction of the Police Station. The event was held from morning 5:15 AM to 7:15 AM. The police conducted extensive searches in the village and examined around 180 houses. During this exercise, 15 vehicles without proper documents and number plates were seized.

The police also confiscated 80 kilos of black jaggery, 25 litres of gudumba, 80 bottles of beer and one full liquor bottle. Te police informed that cases have been registered against the concerned persons in relation to the items confiscated. After the inspection, a special meeting was held with villagers where awareness was created about prevention of road accidents, importance of CC cameras and ill effects of ganja. The police appealed to the villagers to cooperate for protecting law&order.

Villagers were requested to immediately inform the police about any suspicious persons in the area, ganja sales, illicit liquor manufacturing, or other anti-social activities. A total of 56 police personnel, including Circle Force, TGSP, and AR Force teams, participated in the program.
