Andhra Pradesh Minister for Information, Public Relations and Housing Kolusu Parthasaradhi on Saturday congratulated the newly appointed Chairman and members of the Trust Board of Sri Durga Malleswara Swamy Varla Devasthanam, one of the most revered temples in the state.
Minister Parthasaradhi, along with Government Whip Tangirala Soumya, visited the temple atop Indrakeeladri in Vijayawada and felicitated the new Chairman Borra Radhakrishna (Gandhi) and other board members. The state government recently issued formal orders appointing Gandhi as the new Chairman of the Devasthanam Trust Board.
Speaking on the occasion, Minister Parthasaradhi said that Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu had entrusted the Chairman and members with the opportunity to serve Goddess Kanaka Durga and her devotees. He urged the board to make the most of this opportunity by working in line with the Chief Minister’s vision.
“The government has placed immense trust in this board. It is your responsibility to uphold that trust and deliver quality services to the devotees,” the minister said. Emphasising inclusivity, he added, “Special attention must be given to the ordinary devotees who come for the darshan of the goddess. Serving them with dedication is true devotion.”
The minister expressed confidence that under the new board, temple administration and pilgrim services would further improve.
