Telangana Pradesh Congress Committee ( TPCC) President and MLC Mahesh Kumar Goud has affirmed the Congress party's dedication to advocating for the rights of tribal communities, guided by the principle of Jal-Amin-Jungle (Water, Land, Forest Resources).
He attended a tribal training camp held at the Vijay Vihara Hotel in Nagarjunasagar on Sunday. During his address, Mahesh Kumar Goud reflected on party leader Rahul Gandhi's journey focused on securing tribal rights related to natural resources.
"It is my aspiration to see Rahul Gandhi as the Prime Minister of India, thereby ensuring the fulfillment of tribal rights," he stated.
The TPCC chief urged Congress workers to act with the determination of soldiers in order to uphold the rights of the populace. He emphasised that Rahul Gandhi has articulated that the objective of the Bharat Jodo Yatra is to gain insight into the issues and suffering faced by the people.
In criticising the BJP government for undermining tribal rights, the TPCC President lauded Rahul Gandhi as a leader deeply committed to the advancement of tribal welfare.
He said that the Congress party is constantly working for the protection of tribals and recalled their role in bringing the Forest Rights Act. Referring to the ongoing discussion on the caste census survey, Mahesh Kumar Goud said that 90 percent of the survey has been completed and stressed the need for tribals to stand united for the realisation of their rights.
AICC in-charge Deepa Das Munshi, coordinator Koppula Raju, former minister K Jana Reddy, other DCC presidents, MPs, MLCs, MLAs, candidates, corporation chairman and senior leaders participated in the training camp.
