‘Construction of 1L houses completed’

Andhra Pradesh Minister for Housing and Information and Public Relations Kolusu. Pardhasarathi  said on Monday that  since the formation of the NDA government in the state, the construction of one lakh houses has been completed .

He instructed the officials to set targets to complete the construction of another 50 thousand houses by next March. The Minister held a  high-level meeting at the Secretariat on Monday on the housing construction being implemented in the state.

The Minister said that the government will soon start the program of providing keys to the beneficiaries for the construction of the houses completed in the state and will organize a festival atmosphere across the state.

He said that the Chief along with  ministers, legislators and other public representatives will participate in the event  and provide keys to the beneficiaries across the state.

The Minister instructed the officials to take steps to provide basic facilities to the colonies where houses have been constructed, to hold meetings with the officials of Municipal&Urban Development, Panchayati Raj, Electricity and other departments and prepare plans.

He mentioned that if necessary, inter- ministerial level meetings will held for the release of funds. The Minister instructed officials to hold meetings with district officials every day and to give high priority to quality in house construction.

The Managing Director of the State Housing Corporation, Sri K. Rajababu, explained to the Minister the steps being taken for the inauguration of one lakh houses in the state.
