People should be partners in development

NTR District Collector Dr. G. Lakshmisha called on everyone to become a partner in the efforts for constructive development with a new direction in the new year and to lead the district on the path of development with collective participation.

The Collector held a media conference at the VC Hall of the Collector Camp Office on Monday. He  explained the programs to be undertaken in the new year for the overall development of the district.

He said that the efforts made during the Budameru floods with the key participation of public representatives and the authorities have yielded good results. He said that the administration has been successful in supporting the victims, including the distribution of relief measures and financial assistance.

Similarly, he clarified that “Team NTR District” will set new goals in the new year and work to achieve them. He explained that the state government is paying special attention to the implementation of the Swarnandhra @ 2047 plans prepared under the guidance of the Honorable Chief Minister and that the officials have already been prepared for an average growth of 15 percent.

He said that special steps are being taken for the development of the MSME sector, which will enable large-scale employment creation along with industrial growth.

He said that as part of the growth of the service sector, the government is working to turn the district into a tourism hub. He said that discussions are being held with the stakeholders to design a new tourism package. He said that preparations are being made for pilot activities such as the establishment of tourist guides.

He explained that efforts are being made to make Vijayawada, the gateway to the new capital Amaravati, a clean, green and prosperous city. He said that special meetings will be organized to take suggestions and feedback from representatives of residential welfare associations, NGOs, senior citizens' associations, etc.

Equal priority for welfare and development

The Collector clarified that the implementation of the welfare schemes is being done by the state government with the aim of zero poverty to increase the living standards of the people and at the same time giving equal priority to development.

He said that the same approach will be continued in the new year as well. He said that efforts will be made to implement the PM Suryagarh Muft Bijli Yojana scheme more effectively in the new year to save money and drive everyone towards the use of renewable energy.

He said that as part of the steps being taken to provide quality solutions to public problems, each district officer has been appointed as a nodal officer. He said that people's satisfaction is the main aim in resolving petitions.
