Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu has reiterated that there should be no negligence, corruption, or inefficiency in the implementation of government schemes. During a high-level review meeting at the Secretariat, he emphasized that all public welfare programs must be executed flawlessly, with necessary modifications made based on feedback from beneficiaries.
The Chief Minister reviewed various surveys conducted via IVRS, QR code scanning, and other methods on the implementation of key government programs such as pension distribution, Anna Canteens, fertilizer supply, medical services in government hospitals, and RTC bus services. He directed officials to thoroughly investigate complaints and public grievances to improve efficiency.
Naidu instructed authorities to ensure that any lapses, whether related to pension distribution, Deepam gas cylinder deliveries, corruption, or dissatisfaction with hospital services, must be addressed promptly. He urged officials to visit complainants, analyze root causes, and take corrective measures.
“If issues arise due to systemic faults or individual negligence, each case should be analyzed, and necessary action should be taken. Mistakes can be rectified, but corruption and dereliction of duty will not be tolerated,” Naidu warned. He also ordered strict accountability for gas agencies if corruption is detected in gas distribution.
The Chief Minister also reviewed the state’s fertilizer supply system and discussed ways to reduce dependency on chemical fertilizers and pesticides. He emphasized the need to guide farmers toward modern and sustainable agricultural practices, leveraging technology to promote precision farming.
Naidu pointed out the harmful effects of excessive pesticide usage, citing Punjab as an example where cancer cases have surged due to indiscriminate pesticide application. He stressed the importance of liquid fertilizers applied through drones, which could significantly reduce chemical dependency while maintaining high crop yields.
He directed officials to collect data on fertilizer and pesticide usage across different crops and regions, analyze it using data analytics, and provide scientific recommendations to farmers. The Chief Minister instructed that pension distribution should commence at 7 AM instead of the earlier practice of 5-6 AM. The process should be completed by 6 PM, ensuring efficiency without burdening employees with unnecessary regulations.
Naidu underscored the importance of doorstep pension delivery, ensuring that pensions reach beneficiaries at their residences. He warned against distributing pensions at inconvenient locations such as fields or hospitals without valid reasons and directed officials to assess the feasibility of such practices based on public convenience. Furthermore, Naidu urged government employees to treat beneficiaries with dignity and respect, ensuring a seamless and hassle-free distribution process.
