The Telangana Minister Sridhar Babu has reiterated that there is no compromise on Law and Order in the state. Speaking during discussion on Demands for Grants in Telangana Assembly on Wednesday, the Minister emphasized the significant role played by the police in maintaining peace and security, even at the cost of their lives. He assured that there is no scope for communal tensions in Telangana.
Highlighting cybercrime control efforts, Sridhar Babu stated, "Cybercrime police have successfully recovered Rs. 185 crore from scamsters and handed it over to victims, an unprecedented achievement." He also noted that under the previous administration, cases were not registered without political influence, but now the police operate independently.
Discussing police welfare, he announced the construction of a state-of-the-art Young India Police School in Rangareddy district to provide quality education to police personnel’s children. "We are ensuring international standards in education for the children of police officers," he added.
On crime prevention, the Minister pointed out recent improvements in policing, stating, "Every police station is now equipped with a QR code system for better accessibility and monitoring." He also highlighted the strengthening of the Telangana Narcotics Bureau (TG-NAB) to combat drug-related crimes and the use of advanced technology for faster case resolution.
Addressing traffic management, Sridhar Babu emphasized the deployment of AI-based traffic monitoring systems and additional personnel for better regulation. "By leveraging Google Maps and other technologies, we are enhancing traffic management in Hyderabad," he said, adding that the city’s traffic control is superior compared to other metro cities.
