Union Minister G. Kishan Reddy has lambasted the Congress's victory in the Jubilee Hills by-poll as a triumph of "money over merit," alleging widespread cash distribution by BRS-Congress alliances, including crores seized just a day before polling. Contesting independently despite a history of losses in the constituency – even in corporator elections – BJP poured extra effort as it falls under the party's MP turf, but Kishan Reddy remained undeterred.
"We've never won here before, but we fought with responsibility and reviewed every outcome. False propaganda yields nothing; BJP stands firm, allying with no one," Kishan Reddy asserted, accusing AIMIM's tacit support of bolstering Congress. He dismissed the win as no referendum on Chief Minister Revanth Reddy's governance, questioning why voters would back him amid local issues unresolved. "What has Revanth Reddy done for Jubilee Hills? People didn't vote for development – they took the cash," he charged, vowing complaints to the Election Commission over the malpractices.
On BJP's Telangana trajectory, Kishan Reddy exuded confidence: From eight Assembly seats, the party clinched eight Lok Sabha wins, translating to 57 Assembly equivalents per internal analysis. Recent MLC polls saw two of three victories in rural areas, fueled by youth and teachers. "Positive winds are blowing; we'll expand aggressively. In GHMC elections, BJP targets the Mayor's post through harder work," he pledged, urging sustained grassroots efforts.
