Chief Secretary K Ramakrishna Rao has instructed officials to organize a grand celebration for State Formation Day on June 2. During a meeting at the Secretariat on Thursday, he assessed the preparations for the celebrations.
The Chief Secretary announced that the celebrations will take place at the Parade Grounds in Secunderabad, where Chief Minister Revanth Reddy will first honour the martyrs at the Telangana Martyrs' Monument in Gun Park prior to attending the celebrations at the Parade Grounds.
He also directed officials to ensure proper arrangements at the Parade Grounds and recommended the appointment of a nodal officer from each department to facilitate coordination for the event.
The police department has been directed to prepare the necessary arrangements along the routes that will be taken by the dignitaries. This includes ensuring proper parking for vehicles heading to the Parade Grounds to prevent any inconvenience, creating a traffic route map, and implementing measures to maintain smooth traffic flow.
The Roads and Buildings department has been tasked with installing waterproof awnings, barricades, and signage in anticipation of rain.
