The Cyberabad Police have cracked a major inter-state GST fraud network, unearthing ten fake GST-registered firms created using forged documents. These non-existent companies generated bogus invoices and fabricated turnover to claim Input Tax Credit (ITC) worth Rs 11.79 crore, resulting in significant losses to the Government.

The accused operated a sophisticated network across eight states Telangana, Maharashtra, Tamil Nadu, Haryana, Odisha, Chhattisgarh, Karnataka, and Gujarat using fake Aadhaar cards, PAN cards, electricity bills, rental agreements, GHMC licences, and Labour Department certificates. They registered GST numbers in fake names, generated fraudulent purchase and sales invoices, and created fake E-Waybills using real vehicle numbers with altered chassis details.

Key accused include Sohil Muradali Lakhani (organizer) and Mohd Akram Hasnuddin (middleman). Others, including mastermind Abdullah and technical experts, are absconding. Police said 52 firms involved in this GST fraud network and fake turnover is Rs 53.73 crore, including 405 bogus E-Waybills, and Rs 11.79 crore ITC claimed.
