Several devotees have taken to social media to express their dissatisfaction with the poor conditions at the Kanaka Durga temple in Vijayawada. Videos posted online highlight a lack of cleanliness within the temple premises and the unavailability of drinking water, sparking outrage among visitors.

Criticizing the state of affairs, one user questioned whether the temple even has an Executive Officer (EO) to oversee its maintenance. “It is unfortunate to witness such neglect during the NDA government,” read one comment that quickly gained traction. The videos showcasing the inadequate conditions have since gone viral, drawing widespread attention and criticism.  

Minister Lokesh assured devotees that the issues would be addressed promptly and pledged that steps would be taken to prevent such lapses in the future. The concerns raised by devotees, combined with the minister's swift response, underscore the need for better management and facilities at one of Andhra Pradesh's most revered temples. As the temple holds significant religious and cultural importance, devotees now await tangible actions to resolve these pressing issues.

The incident has once again highlighted the need for accountability and proper upkeep of public places of worship to ensure a seamless experience for all visitors.
