Disneyland High School, located in Oglapur, Damera Mandal, commemorated the 111th birth anniversary of renowned poet Kaloji Narayana Rao by celebrating it as Telangana Dialect Day with great fervor.
The school’s chief advisors—Dayyala Mallaiah, Dayyala Sadayya, Balugu Lakshminivasam—alongside correspondent Balugu Shobharani and directors Dayyala Rakesh Bhanu and Dinesh Chander, paid homage by offering floral tributes to Kaloji’s portrait and lighting the ceremonial lamp.
During the event, the school management underscored the significance of the Telangana dialect, recalling its neglect during the Nizam’s rule.
They emphasized that the dialect is a true reflection of Telangana’s culture and the resilient spirit of its people. Kaloji’s acclaimed work Na Godava was highlighted as a powerful narration of the community’s struggles.
Students were encouraged to cherish their mother tongue, treating it with the same respect and love as their own mother, while also valuing Telugu and striving to learn other languages.
