In a major twist in the Formula E-Car Race case, the Telangana Anti-Corruption Bureau (ACB) has sought the state government's approval to prosecute former minister KT Rama Rao, senior IAS officer Arvind Kumar, and officials BLN Reddy, Kishan Rao and FEO.
The ACB has already submitted its report to Telangana Governor Jishnu Dev Verma, who has reportedly cleared the move to register a case against the accused. However, the final decision now rests with the Congress government headed by CM Revanth Reddy. Sources said the ACB is prepared to file a 'charge sheet' once the government grants permission. Investigators have already questioned KTR four times and Arvind Kumar five times. The inquiry report has concluded that there was 'massive corruption' in the conduct of the race, with clear evidence of 'quid pro quo' arrangements.
