People in Sanathnagar are appreciative of Dr Kota Neelima. Despite battling seasonal cold and fever, Neelima, Congress in-charge of Sanathnagar, stood at the forefront of the grand Bonalu celebrations at Secunderabad’s Ujjaini Mahankali temple. Her unwavering commitment has become a talking point across the constituency.
Weeks before the festival, Dr. Neelima began extensive preparations visiting the temple regularly, holding review meetings with departments including police, GHMC, and waterworks, and offering key suggestions. She personally engaged with shopkeepers and locals, urging them to contribute to the success of Bonalu.
She held detailed discussions with temple priests and joginis to ensure that traditions and rituals were followed properly. On the eve of the festival, she camped overnight at the temple, supervising all arrangements from crowd management and water supply to seating for the elderly and children.
From the first bonam offered by Minister Ponnam Prabhakar to the pattu vastralu presentation by Chief Minister Revanth Reddy, Dr. Neelima coordinated every detail. Her efforts extended beyond Secunderabad, she also played a vital role in the smooth conduct of the Balkampet Yellamma Kalyanam and Rathotsavam earlier this month.
Even with fever and bandaged feet, Dr. Neelima remained active throughout, earning widespread praise for her dedication. Her selfless service to the goddess Ujjaini Mahankali and the people of Telangana has truly made her the talk of the town.
