Hyderabad: The Economically Backward Classes Welfare Association (EBCWA) has appealed to Telangana DGP B. Shivadhar Reddy to take strict legal action against individuals making derogatory and hate-filled remarks against forward castes. In a representation submitted on October 27, the association alleged that certain people have been using abusive language in public and media platforms, targeting forward caste communities and leaders. They warned that such comments are damaging social harmony and could trigger caste-based tensions.

The association also expressed concern over misleading campaigns following recent court rulings on BC reservations, stating that false propaganda against EWS (Economically Weaker Sections) is creating divisions. EBCWA’s National President Vallapureddy Ravinder Reddy urged police to issue special guidelines to curb hate speech and ensure peace and mutual respect among all communities.
