Minister for Panchayat Raj, Rural Development, Rural Water Supply, Women & Child Welfare, Danasari Anasuya Seethakka stated on Sunday that education is the most powerful weapon to eliminate poverty from society. She emphasized that literacy elevates a person to a dignified position in society and that government schools in Telangana are now providing quality education on par with corporate institutions .The Minister highlighted that the agency area of Mulugu district has gained special recognition in the education sector, with the entire state now looking towards Mulugu as a model.

As part of the state government’s Praja Palana Pragati Pranalika – 99 Days Action Plan, the ‘Vidya Vijayotsavam’ program was organized by the School Education Department at the district collectorate conference hall. Top-performing students in 10th class, Intermediate and sports categories were felicitated with awards, certificates and cash prizes of Rs 10,000 each, sponsored by the Telangana School Education Department. The Minister personally presented laptops to students who secured first rank in the 10th class and Intermediate examinations.

Speaking on the occasion, Minister Seethakka said the government is committed to strengthening the education system in line with the goals of Praja Palana and ensuring quality education for every student. She expressed pride that Mulugu district secured the first rank in the state in the recently released 10th class examination results. She lauded the district’s progress in education, attributing the success to improved infrastructure, digital classrooms, special plans and the collective efforts of teachers and parents.

Applauding the large number of girl students who achieved top results, she encouraged students to draw inspiration from the district’s historical legacy of warrior women like Sammakka-Saralamma and Rani Rudrama Devi. She cited inspiring examples such as Praveen Kumar, son of a sanitation worker from Eturunagaram, who cleared Group-I and became a DSP, and a girl from Mallampalli whose father runs a tyre shop and also became a DSP. These stories, she said, prove that anyone can reach great heights through hard work, irrespective of their background.
