President of the Telangana DNT & NT Advocate Forum Satyanarayana Gundlapally on Saturday asserted that the social and political liberation of De-notified Tribes (DNT) and Nomadic Tribes (NT) is linked to their access to quality education. Participating in the 199th birth anniversary celebrations of Mahatma Jyotirao Phule, Gundlapally paid floral tributes to the statue of the legendary social reformer. Speaking to media persons on the sidelines of the event, he underscored the enduring relevance of Phule’s vision in addressing contemporary systemic inequalities.
He specifically highlighted the Union Government's lack of progress regarding special reservations for these communities. Invoking Phule’s famous maxim, " Lack of education leads to lack of wisdom," he urged the youth of the DNT and NT communities to prioritize higher education as a strategic tool to claim their share in political power and professional spheres.
