Hyderabad’s Erragadda Division witnessed the foundation stone laying for several key development projects by Minister Ponnam Prabhakar, aimed at improving infrastructure and public amenities.
Under a project worth Rs 2.16 crore, CC roads will be constructed in Nataraj Nagar, Shankarlal Nagar, and Chhatrapati Shivaji Nagar. Additionally, community halls in Nataraj Nagar and Banjara Nagar will undergo renovation.
The Hyderabad Metropolitan Water Supply & Sewerage Board will implement water supply line replacements worth Rs 53 lakh in Shankarlal Nagar and Sanjay Nagar, while sewerage lines will be upgraded in Sanjay Nagar, Sultan Nagar, and Fatima Nagar.
The event saw participation from local MLAs Mirza Rahmat Beg Khadri, Mirza Riaz Hall Hasan Efendi, Kauser Mohinuddin, Deputy Mayor Mote Srilatha, Inagal Venkatramireddy, Diary Development Corporation Chairman Gutta Amit, Corporator C.N. Reddy, Zonal Commissioner Hemant, and other officials.
Minister Ponnam Prabhakar stated that along with road and sewerage works, parks with walking tracks and children’s play areas will be developed on adjacent land for public use. He assured that drinking water and sanitation issues would be addressed effectively.
He highlighted that over 60,000 new ration cards have been distributed in Hyderabad, along with 200 units of free electricity and 500 gas connections. Efforts are also underway to provide double-bedroom houses and free bus services for women through RTC.
The minister emphasized that the Jubilee Hills constituency’s development is a priority for the state government, focusing on welfare and sustainable growth for residents.
