Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu on Tuesday reiterated that every decision taken by the coalition government is aimed at uplifting the poor. Speaking at the formal launch of the P4 implementation programme held at CK Convention Centre in Mangalagiri, he interacted with Bangaru kutumbalu and Margadarshis.
The P4 initiative, launched during Ugadi earlier this year, has already seen 13,40,697 Bangaru families adopted by 1,41,977 Margadarshis across the state. Highlighting its vision, Naidu said “Poverty eradication was the principle of NTR. I firmly believe that society is a temple and people are gods. That is why every day we think for the poor and make decisions only for their upliftment.”
He stressed that economic reforms had generated wealth in Andhra Pradesh, but bridging inequalities was now essential. “This programme is not about compulsion. Margadarshis come forward voluntarily, adopting families and guiding them. True satisfaction comes only when one serves and supports the poor,” he said, citing the example of an anonymous devotee who recently donated 121 kg of gold worth Rs 140 crore to Lord Venkateswara.
