Acting on credible information, Domalguda Police arrested two drug peddlers near Suraj Tours and Travels in Ambedkar Colony, close to Liberty T Junction, on Tuesday. The suspects were found carrying 18 kg of dry Ganja in two travel bags.

The arrested individuals have been identified as Komal Sominath Pvar (23) and Sahil Mahesh Salunke (18), both from Aurangabad, Maharashtra. A third accused, Babu from Vijayawada, remains at large. The police seized 18 kg of Ganja and two mobile phones, with the total haul valued at ₹4.5 lakh. Preliminary investigation revealed the accused had procured the contraband from Babu in Vijayawada and planned to sell it in Aurangabad at higher prices.

The duos had traveled from Vijayawada to Hyderabad and were preparing to board a bus to Aurangabad when they were intercepted. Police believe they were part of a larger supply chain, and efforts are ongoing to track the absconding accused and dismantle the network. Further investigation is underway.
