Former Minister and senior BRS leader Singireddy Niranjan Reddy launched a scathing attack on Monday against Chief Minister Revanth Reddy, alleging that the present government is indulging in “destructive governance instead of people’s governance.”

Addressing a press conference at his residence, Niranjan Reddy accused the Chief Minister of arrogance, ignorance, and spreading falsehoods. He strongly condemned the alleged call to “demolish BRS party offices,” stating that such remarks amount to inciting hatred and are against democratic values.

He demanded that a criminal case be registered immediately against the Chief Minister and that legal action be taken, asserting that calling for the demolition of opposition party offices is an act carried out by anti-social forces.

Niranjan Reddy alleged that CM Revanth Reddy has failed to implement electoral promises and instead resorts to threatening language. “When asked to implement promises, he speaks about defeating and breaking opponents. These are statements of arrogance,” he remarked.

He further stated that the Congress party has lost relevance in several states across the country and questioned its credibility. Referring to political defections, he challenged the government to make defecting MLAs resign and contest elections again.

Highlighting BRS achievements, Niranjan Reddy said that during the BRS regime, Ra 32,000 crore worth of Palamuru–Rangareddy Lift Irrigation works were completed and Rs 27,000 crore bills were cleared, whereas the Congress government has cleared only Rs 5,000 crore so far.

Raising strong objections to discussions on abolishing districts, Niranjan Reddy warned that any attempt to tamper with the district system would provoke widespread public agitation. “Districts have brought governance closer to the people. The public has adapted to this system. Any move to abolish districts will severely impact employment and administration,” he cautioned.

He urged people to think carefully and said that voting for Congress in the upcoming municipal elections would amount to giving consent for the abolition of districts. “This is a very serious issue. People must deliver a thoughtful verdict,” he appealed.
