To manage the surge in passenger traffic during the Sankranti festival season, South Central Railway (SCR) has announced the operation of four special trains connecting key destinations across Telangana, Andhra Pradesh and Maharashtra.
According to SCR officials, train No. 07484 (Vijayawada–Guntakal) will depart Vijayawada at 7.00 pm on January 16 and reach Guntakal at 4.30 am the next day. The train will halt at Guntur, Narasaraopet, Vinukonda, Donakonda, Markapur Road, Cumbum, Nandyal and Dhone. It will have Sleeper and General Second Class coaches.
Train No. 07485 (Machilipatnam–Dharmavaram) will leave Machilipatnam at 6.00 pm on January 16 and arrive at Dharmavaram at 6.30 am the following day. Stoppages include Gudivada, Vijayawada, Tenali, Bapatla, Chirala, Ongole, Nellore, Gudur, Srikalahasti, Renigunta, Tirupati, Pakala, Piler, Madanapalle, Mulacalacheruvu, Kadiri and Mudigubba. The rake will comprise Sleeper and General Second Class coaches.
Train No. 07486 (Vikarabad–H.S. Nanded) will depart Vikarabad at 11.30 am on January 20 and reach H.S. Nanded at 8.30 pm the same day. It will stop at Shankarpalli, Lingampalli, Begumpet, Secunderabad, Bolarum, Medchal, Akanapet, Kamareddi, Nizamabad, Basar, Dharmabad, Umri and Mudkhed. Coaches include 2AC, 3AC, Sleeper and General Second Class.
Train No. 07487 (Vikarabad–Tirupati) will leave Vikarabad at 4.15 pm on January 20 and arrive at Tirupati at 8.30 am the next day, stopping at Shankarpalli, Lingampalli, Secunderabad, Charlapalli, Nalgonda, Miryalaguda, Sattenapalle, Guntur, Tenali, Chirala, Ongole, Nellore and Renigunta. The train will have 2AC, 3AC, Sleeper and General Second Class coaches.
SCR advised passengers to make advance reservations and utilize these special services for smooth and comfortable Sankranti travel.
