Gandhi Nagar Police Station under the Hyderabad City Police has undergone a major transformation with modern eco-friendly infrastructure and greenery upgrades inaugurated by DCP Secunderabad Zone Rakshitha Krishnamurthy IPS. The station had earlier received the prestigious ISO 9001:2015 certification in recognition of its administrative standards, transparent public services, and upgraded infrastructure.

The modernization initiative was carried out under the leadership of Station House Officer Inspector N. Bose Kiran, who redesigned the premises into a professional corporate-style workspace with improved public facilities and environmental aesthetics. During the inauguration, the DCP unveiled the plaque and participated in a plantation drive along with Additional DCP J. Narasiah and ACP A. Yadagiri.

As part of the upgrades, old files and records were systematically organized, workspaces were decluttered, and case property rooms were restructured for better efficiency. The building received fresh interior and exterior painting, new LED lighting, and repairs to drainage and leakage systems. Hundreds of abandoned and seized vehicles were shifted to create more operational space.

The police station also introduced a dedicated citizens’ reception lobby with seating arrangements and renovated staff barracks. Green initiatives included vertical planter installations and landscaping to create a cleaner and more pleasant environment. Senior officials praised the efforts of the SHO and station staff in setting a benchmark for modern public service infrastructure.
