GITAM Deemed to be University, Hyderabad, celebrated Achievers’ Day 2026 by honouring student success stories and announcing remarkable placement achievements that highlighted the institution’s growing industry connect and career-focused education.
Organised by the Career Guidance Centre (CGC), the event recognised students who excelled in campus placements and higher education opportunities, reflecting GITAM’s commitment to academic excellence, professional readiness, and holistic development.
For the 2026 graduating batch, 771 students secured placements out of 1,347 students who opted for campus recruitment, recording an overall placement rate of 60%. A total of more than 1,000 job offers were made by 324 recruiters across GITAM’s seven constituent schools.
The GITAM School of Business (GSB) emerged as the leading performer with a 97.5% placement rate, achieving 100% placements for undergraduate students and 95.8% for postgraduate students. The GITAM School of Architecture (GSA) also achieved complete placement success. GSB postgraduate students received the highest average annual package of ₹6.94 LPA, while the GITAM School of Computer Science and Engineering (GSCSE) recorded the highest placement volume with 544 offers and 443 students placed. The highest package of the season stood at ₹16 LPA.
The celebration was attended by industry leaders Krishna Chaitanya GT, Director & Chief Operations Leader – Tax, PwC AC, and Richard King, Region Head – Academic Alliances, TCS, who encouraged students to pursue continuous learning and innovation. Pro Vice-Chancellor Prof. D. S. Rao said the results reflected industry confidence in GITAM’s academic standards and career initiatives.
