Goshamahal Police reunite missing woman with family

The Goshamahal Police under the Hyderabad Police Commissionerate rescued a mentally unsound and physically disabled woman and reunited her with her family within hours through swift coordination and alert policing.

According to police, constables G. Shambu Lingam and Thakur Ashish Singh were on night patrol duty on May 27 when they received a Dial-100 call about an unidentified woman wandering in the Nagarkhana area of Goshamahal. The officers immediately reached the spot and shifted the 45-year-old woman to the police station for safety.

During questioning, the woman identified herself only as Padma and mentioned Nagasanpally village. Based on her dialect, police suspected she belonged to Wanaparthy district and contacted the local police control room for assistance. After verification by Srirangapuram Police, it was confirmed that the woman had been missing for five days. Soon, her son Boravelli Narender contacted Goshamahal Police and identified her. After due verification, Padma was safely handed over to her family.
