Governor Jishnu Dev Varma hosted New Year 2026 Open House celebrations at Lok Bhavan on Thursday. Prominent persons attended included Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy, several cabinet Ministers, dignitaries, and senior bureaucrats. Hundreds from various walks of life across the State joined, exchanging warm new year greetings with the Governor.The Governor extended heartfelt wishes for a healthy, happy, safe, and prosperous 2026 to Telangana’s people. Principal Secretary to the Governor M. Dana Kishore, and other senior Lok Bhavan officials were present.
Later, the Governor distributed digital assistive devices to visually challenged students and merit scholarships to economically weaker sections at Lok Bhavan.
The Lok Bhavan truly lived up to its name on its very first day, setting a model for inclusive service in the coming days.The compact devices alert users to obstacles via vibrations, boosting safety and mobility for visually challenged students.The Governor noted this New Year start with a noble beginning post-renaming, praising the Indian Red Cross Society Telangana State Branch, Mana America Telugu Association and Sankalp Foundation for their support.
