To be held at Balapur on January 24

The Telangana High Court has issued orders granting permission for the Dharma Rakshana Sabha scheduled to be held at Balapur on January 24 this year.

In a press statement, Bhagyanagar Ganesh Utsav Samithi general secretary Dr. R Shashidhar stated that it is unfortunate that the state government attempted to prevent this public meeting, which was planned under the slogan "Jago Bhagyanagar – Chalo Balapur". The programme aims to raise public awareness about issues concerning the future of Bhagyanagar and the internal security of the nation, including concerns related to illegal immigration.

During the court proceedings, the state government informed the High Court that approximately 8,000 Rohingya individuals are illegally residing in the Balapur area alone. The government was unable to provide clear data regarding illegal Bangladeshi immigrants. These admissions highlight the seriousness of the issue and raise concerns regarding public safety and governance.

The continued neglect of these concerns by the state government, while attempting to restrict public discourse on the matter, is deeply regrettable. Citizens have a legitimate right to express their views on issues affecting public order, security, and the rule of law.

The "Jago Bhagyanagar" movement, commencing on January 24 at Balapur, will continue in a peaceful and democratic manner, in accordance with the directions of the High Court and the Hyderabad City Police.

"We appeal to all citizens who believe in national integrity, constitutional values, and public safety to participate in the meeting in large numbers and make it a success", the general secretary said.
